This is a Gilbert Mysto Magic set No. 1 circa 1938. This is a very nice set.
Contents very good and complete (with two corks). Lid has split corner. Also has slightly scuffed, lightly stained label (see photo). Bottom of box is perfect. Click to enlarge photos.

You don't see magic that looks like this very often. It's so breathtakingly beautiful that the few who own them keep them on display and don't perform them. Based on the Delben blotter (also on sale on this site), this is Carl Williams homage to the original and decorated with distinctly Okito transfers. It's one of his Replicas of the Masters. Primarily made in green. Only eight made in red.
