Petrie & Lewis Stretch-It Boomerangs

You know most of the effect. Ask the audience which one is larger/longer. When held like the photo, the bottom one appears longer. You pretend to stretch the "shorter" one and then hold it on the bottom. It now appears longer. Of course, P&L added a surprise ending. Their perfectly constructed gimmick (see photo), allows you to make one of the boomerangs shorter. What a great trick!

Each boomerang is hallmarked twice with the P&L logo and Pat Pend (once on each side). A fine collectible. Comes with photocopy of original instructions.

Thayer Clingo Billiard Balls and Shell - Super rare

Originally, Floyd Thayer called these "rough" billiard balls. They were designed to give the magician a better grip on them unlike the standard smooth sets of multiplying billiard balls. For that reason and because he was a marketing genius, he named them Clingo.

Each ball is scored with concentric circles spaced evenly. They are very rare in any condition. These are in fine condition. And Floyd Thayer turned them. No one else. No one else could.

And it comes with the original dollar bill (US Federal Reserve Note) negative (on acetate) that came with it. The Treasury department apparently interceded and production ceased. Klingl Ball Through Glass - c. 1920

 
From Vienna, Austria about 1920. A beautifully constructed and lacquered box is shown and a piece of glass is placed into it. The box is closed and fastened shut. A steel ball is placed on top. Suddenly, it slowly sinks through the top hole, the solid glass and out the bottom hole of the box.

Hallmarked on the inside lid (see photo). All complete and original (the box, the glass, the steel ball) and mint. Some reglue needed due to aging but parts are perfect. A rarity and a miracle all in one. Click photos to enlarge.

Bottomless Glass That Can Hold Liquid aka the Okito Glass - SOLD

This is a 100% glass that is bottomless and has a round glass insert glued to the inside bottom. See photos. Click to enlarge. The glass insert makes it possible to put a silk in the glass (in the insert) and fill the glass with milk. Pour out the milk and the silk is either vanished (through the bottom) or still there completely dry. The glass is fluted so the insert isn't visible even when the glass is empty. Mint. No chips, cracks or repairs. It's a beauty.

Loyd's Ink Bottle and Potato Mystery - SOLD

You can stop searching! This is the seventy year old trick where a borrowed handkerchief is stuffed into an ink bottle (after real ink is shown to be inside). Later, the original handkerchief is produced from a potato (where else?) clean, ink-free and potato-y fresh!
