What you see above are two metal tubes in fine shape, two celluloid inserts and one glass. You can have the glass, when covered, vanish or produce liquids/fish/floating carrots from either tube. This is a 100% glass that is bottomless and has a round glass insert glued to the inside bottom. See photos. Click to enlarge. The glass insert makes it possible to put a silk in the glass (in the insert) and fill the glass with milk. Pour out the milk and the silk is either vanished (through the bottom) or still there completely dry. The glass is fluted so the insert isn't visible even when the glass is empty. Mint. No chips, cracks or repairs. It's a beauty.

You can stop searching! This is the seventy year old trick where a borrowed handkerchief is stuffed into an ink bottle (after real ink is shown to be inside). Later, the original handkerchief is produced from a potato (where else?) clean, ink-free and potato-y fresh!
